How to Import a Rubric into JoeZoo

In this article we show teachers how to import traditional rubrics they've built before into JoeZoo.

Step #1 - Open Old Rubric

To start, open the Google Doc that contains your old rubric with the JoeZoo Express add-on open.

Then click the "Import Rubric" button on the home screen of the add-on.

Step #2 - Name Your New Rubric

Give your rubric a unique name and add a few details to make it easier to differentiate it from any other rubrics you create. Then click the "Save" button.

            Step #3 - Import Criteria

Select the column that contains all of the Criteria in your old rubric, then click the "Import" button.

Once imported you will see all the Criteria listed in our add-on.  Click the "Save" button to advance or the "Re-do Import" if you selected the wrong column in your old rubric.

You can click the delete button to prevent that Criterion from being imported, but that will also prevent all Expectations from that row in your rubric from being imported.

Step #4 - Import Grade Levels

Select the row that contains all of the Grade Levels in your old rubric, then click the "Import" button.

Once imported you will see all the Grade Levels listed in our add-on.  Click the "Save" button to advance or the "Re-do Import" if you selected the wrong row in your old rubric.

You can click the delete button to prevent that Grade Level from being imported, but that will also prevent all Expectations from that column in your rubric from being imported.

Step #5 - View/Edit Imported Rubric In App

Your rubric import is now complete. Wasn't that easy?

Click the "View" button in the add-on and you will be taken to your new rubric's page in our app.

There you can add Fractional Grading or Scoring, edit the imported Expectations and can connect it to the Assignment you'd like to grade with it.
